We are calling on volunteers to come join us in Hebron or volunteer from abroad! Come stay for a week, a month or more for a meaningful experience of sharing culture, language, food and tradition. Learn about the practice of nonviolence and work for Palestinian human rights while spending time in the Palestinian community in Tel Rumeida, Hebron, one of the oldest inhabited places in the world. You will learn about the community our work through city walking tours, events, and trainings. You will work side-by-side with Palestinian volunteers in a joint struggle for peace and equality.

As a volunteer with us, you will stay in our center or with a Palestinian family in Hebron and come help us on the field while learning about Palestinian traditions and the situation of human rights defenders in Hebron. In October-November, you will also be able to participate in the ancient tradition of the olive harvest. We will cover your meals and transportation within Hebron. You will receive free walking tours of Hebron city and be able to participate in events and trainings. You will also have the chance to learn or practice Arabic with our team and local Palestinian residents. We are asking our volunteers to make a donation to help cover the cost of your stay. This amounts to either $150 per day, $500 per week or $1500 per month. This donation will go to support your host families, cover the cost of your stay and support the work of the organization. Donations are tax deductible. If you have any difficulties in making this contribution, please let us know your circumstances.

Here is what is included in your stay!

✔ Accommodation: you will be hosted by a Palestinian family in Hebron.

✔ Meals: we will provide group meals and Palestinian home cooked meals. Vegans and vegetarians are welcome.

✔ Transportation: we will provide transportation within the city of Hebron during your stay. Transportation costs of initial travel to and from Palestine is not included.

✔ Events, Trainings & Walking tours: you will learn about Hebron's culture, traditions and humanitarian situation through walking tours in the city, workshops, talks and trainings.

✔ Arabic language learning: you will learn and practice Palestinian Arabic with our team and local residents through immersion and language exchanges.

✔ Learn about Palestinian life, culture and traditions: you will get to experience the unique 

✔ Certificate of volunteering: at the end of your stay, you will be provided with a certificate of having volunteered with us at Friends of Hebron and Youth Against Settlements.
